Important Patient Information

Under no circumstances are you able to drive yourself home. IT IS AGAINST THE LAW TO DO SO.
You should have someone to stay overnight with you after your operation. If you do not have anyone, please let us know.
Please allow approximately 4 hours for your admission, operation and recovery.
A nurse will phone the contact person you provided and specify a time that you will be able to go home.
We do NOT take responsibility for your valuable items, therefore for the safety of your valuable possessions, we recommend that you do not wear any expensive jewellery or bring large amounts of money with you to Hospital.

Your surgeon or the nursing staff will advise you of any medications that you may or may not take the day of your operation.
If you need to take any medications the morning of your operation and you are fasting, please take them with a sip of water only.

If you have a cold, sore throat, temperature or you need to cancel your operation for any reason, please notify your surgeon immediately.
